KN2P March and Rally for Shared Parenting
at the Capitol Grounds in Raleigh, NC
Sheila Peltzer, KN2P President, lead marchers around Raleigh Capitol on Saturday, May 7. The march, in memory of SHARED PARENTING activist Derek Walter, followed a rally with speakers Peltzer & Mike McCormick, American Coalition for Fathers & Children (ACFC) Executive Director.
They emphasize our efforts to modernize custody law to SHARED PARENTING to maximize the time children have with BOTH parents after separation or divorce. Current research clearly shows this is in the child's best interest academically, emotionally, & financially. It will save money for families in court battles. It will save money for NC schools, jails, & social service agencies. Most dropouts, pregnant teens, & juvenile substance abusers & criminals come from single-parent homes.
